I’ve wanted to work from home for many years – started with many
direct sales companies and often found things falling short of what I
needed. Not to discourage anyone from pursuing direct sales companies
– they can be great – but it just didn’t work out well for me.
Something always suffered.
I have 8 children, and have experienced
many different things throughout their pregnancies, deliveries and
childhoods. I've been through natural childbirth, Pitocin induced, 2
emergency C-Sections, and the last two were by planned C-Section.
I believe that every woman should take
the time to educate herself about what is happening to her body during
pregnancy, and only through education can she make sure that she gets
the experience that she wants.
I am a firm believer in VBAC and
breastfeeding. I also believe that through informed choices, a woman
is entitled to make the decisions appropriate for herself and her
family regarding her baby.
While I was pregnant with my second youngest child, many people turned to me
as a source of information regarding pregnancy, childbirth and
breastfeeding. I guess having gone through it 5 previous times, gave
me some insight, and if I didn’t know an answer – I could find it
somewhere. That is where a lot of this site comes from – the research
I did for others during my pregnancy. The breastfeeding information
was primarily from my training as a Breastfeeding Counselor at WIC.
