Coping with Post Partum Depression

The baby blues are a normal part of childbirth.  It is not uncommon to feel let down after delivery - after all, you were the center of attention during your pregnancy.  But now that baby is here, all attention is his.  It is much like the let-down after a holiday - all the build up and excitement is over, and real life comes back and settles in.

But sometimes, it goes beyond the "blues" and becomes more serious.  The information and advice on this page is not to be a substitute for  proper medical care.  Post Partum Depression can be a serious problem, and should be treated as such.  Contact your physician for complete treatment.
